Royal Ascot 2019 – Victoria Jane Millinery

Royal Ascot 2019

It’s one of the highlights of the British racing calendar, Royal Ascot. It falls this year between Tuesday 16th to Saturday 20th June.

It’s also one of my favourite events for elegant fashion inspiration. As preparations get underway for this years event, I decided to look back at my favourite pieces from last years racing event.

5 - Queen Maxima of the Netherlands

She’s known for her bold yet still regal fashion choices and at last years event she held true to what she does best. Standing out in this beautiful eye catching hat, it’s a lovely shade of dust pink and faux flowers that look like they’re made from feathers.

4 - Valerie Stark

Entrepreneur and businesswoman Valerie Stark fell onto my radar after I saw her in the incredible sculptural turban piece by London based Milliner Jane Taylor.

3 - Lady Kitty Spencer

Wearing a unique bean shaped piece by Philip Treacy, comes in at number 3. The simple design and single black quill detail looks wonderful elegant and complements her face perfectly.

2 - Sophie, Countess of Wessex

I think Sophie doesn’t get the credit she deserves when it comes to her outfits for Royal engagements, with so much focus and attention on Kate and Megan she often flies under the radar and it’s such a shame because she’s often right on point. Last year my favourite look was this blue pillbox that she paired with a wide leg jumpsuit...Yes a jumpsuit!

1 - Tatiana Korsakova

Sorry the cover image kind of gave this one away but simply had to use her for the thumbnail. I don’t know about you, but my jaw hit the table when I saw photos of this outfit. The coat and dress by Emilia Wickstead and delightful headpiece by Jane Taylor stole the show with out question. The mint, the bow and the shoes... there isn’t anything about this that I don’t like.

Do you agree? Who do you think is missing from the list? Let me know in the comments.
